Not sure what to say?

Sorry that I missed the service, as I was helping to move my son AJ to Florida on the day of the service. I really wish that I could have been there to honor a great man.

Andy was such a wonderful faculty member and supporter of Fisheries and Wildlife at OSU, and an ambassador for the university through his Extension work (not to mention his passion for the Beavers!). We will ensure that his stories and legacy are known to our students. My condolences to the Landforce Family and Andy's many friends. Selina Heppell, Department Head, Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Sciences at OSU

I just found out about Andy´s passing. He was a teacher, a friend and a legend in my mind. He was an old hat, a legendary Fisherman, and an ear to ear smile! A conversation with Andy was always an experience full of humor and wisdom. After I moved back to Oregon I first saw Andy on the Alsea near Five Rivers. I´d been fishing and had climbed up to the road walking west to change location when I noticed another fisher approaching me. Bowlegged, big well used cowboy hat, and as we approached,...

Andy was the 4-H Extension leader in Wallowa County and such a wonderful person in helping the youth involved in the program. Thanks so much for all your great influence for our family.

Andy was an on going, positive presence with our family when our parents were alive and fishing with him was a memorable experience to be cherished.

what a legend! Andy was a good friend for 30 years or more. Fished with him on the Alsea and Siletz rivers and usually caught steelhead. In later years visited him at home often and he was always so out-going , friendlly and articulate. He wa a gem among men.

Dear Ones, Your father was a bright light and exemplary human. These past few years especially, we enjoyed watching for him on his daily walk up the road - then quickly finding some excuse to be at the road when he passed by. He made every interaction meaningful and I always came away a good bit elevated in mood by the encounter. We miss him daily and feel blessed to have known this amazing neighbor of ours.

Your dad was a wonderful man and leaves us all with many great memories. Although, I didn't see much of him over the last 4 years, his saying will stay with me forever. "I wish you daily happiness without a special reason." I think about that saying often and when I do, I always think of your dad.

He always had a smile! He and Evelyn raised three children, including my dear friend Dianne. She learned from them, how to live with joy, love and kindness.
