Angela “Angie” Craddock Koon, 59, of Spencer, died Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Miletree Center, Spencer.


She was born July 19, 1965, at Ripley, the daughter of Sharon and Bobby Phillips of Reedy.


Angie was the owner and operator of A Cut Above, Spencer for 25 years. She had a great passion for her work and made many close friends over the years.


She was also a homemaker. Her top priority was making sure her boys were taken care of. Angie loved spending time with family and friends. She was a very loving and devoted mom and wife, who loved to laugh a lot.


Her pastimes included horseback riding, gardening, cooking, vacationing with family and socializing with friends.


In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Jimmy Koon of Spencer; sons, Jackson (Kaitlyn Truman) Craddock of Pinch and Jerod Craddock of Spencer; brother, Chris Phillips of Reedy; special niece, Kayla Taylor; step children, Josh (Heather) Koon, Jason (Barbara) Koon both of Spencer, Derrick Coon of Ohio and Sierra (Charlie) Coon of Uniontown, Ohio; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Roy and Betty Moore, Cathy Nutter, Loretta Koon all of Spencer, Tony Koon of Virginia, Joyce (William Shreve) Matics of Spencer and Brian Koon of Amma; several step grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.


Angie was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Eugene Koon; mother-in-law, Jessica Koon; stepdaughter, Jessica Koon; brother-in-law, Michael Koon.


A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.


John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer is assisting the family with arrangements.

She will be missed she was a sweetheart.

She was the best hairstylist that I ever knew. Ang and I have been close friends for years and I will never forget the good times. I love you Ang and I will miss you always.

Angie and I went to Pittsburgh to the 1989 Rolling Stones Steel Wheels Tour Concert. So much fun! We had the biggest hair in the whole stadium.

Angie, you were such a great friend to myself and Benji. Always ready to talk and laugh with us. You were your son’s BIGGEST FAN no matter what they were doing. Your love for your children showed everywhere you went. You were just a great friend who will be truly missed!

I am so very sorry for you loss. To all of the family...love hugs and prayers.

Angie was one of the sweetest people, she was so kind to me. She always had a smile and made you feel like you were welcome . She was full of life and lived it in her own terms. She will be missed.
