Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences to the Buxton family and to Angela's many friends world wide. I first met Angela in the UK at a tournament in Southport. Angela was a first class player at that time and I was getting my feet wet playing in this event. There was no comparison in abilities! I introduced myself to Angela. My name was Sylvia Martin then and I lived in North London and worked at the Pearl Assurance Company. We spoke for a short while and then both went on our way. We did not meet again...

Deepest condolences to the Buxton family, many, many friends, and fans. Ms. Buxton was a British tennis player who won doubles at the French Open an Wimbledon in 1956 as the doubles partner of Althea Gibson. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with loss the of Ms. Millie. May her contributions to tennis keep her memory alive forever.

My late husband was a cousin to Angela. When we were living in Florida (orig from CT) we got together a number of times. She was a joy to be around. My daughter and I first met her in England and she was the most wonderful hostess. This saddens me to have to include her passing on our family tree.

It saddens my heart to read about the death of Angela Buxton. I am inspired by her determination despite the odds. With grace she championed the sport of tennis leaving a legacy for women today and forever. May God who is tender in mercies comfort the family and many dear friends.

My condolences.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Angela whom I had come to know when she wintered in South Florida. I served as her IT Professional and Consultant advising her with her tennis journalism. Most recently, I helped her write the speech she delivered at the US Open for the dedication to her friend and doubles partner Althea Gibson.

I will miss the “tea” that always preceded her lessons but most of all I will miss the friendship that evolved over the years with...

Our deepest sympathy to Angela's Family. She was a wonderful women. We enjoyed her friendship at Temple Bat Yam and seeing her and Althea's awards when we visited Wimbledon. Rest in peace Angela. We will miss you.

Angela dated my grandfather, Harry Hecht, for the last few decades of her life. I never knew my grandmother on my mother's side, so Angela was just the coolest and most lovely grandmotherly figure to me. I will sincerely miss chatting with her in our living room during the high holidays. I can still hear her spunk and presence. I'm sending my condolences to her children and her friends. My immediate family would love to attend any virtual memorial or funeral that might be held- if you have...

We send our sincere condolences to the Buxton family. Angela was our client and more importantly our dear friend and we will truly miss her.
