Not sure what to say?

Angela made this world a better place by being in it, working to improve it, and challenging so many of us to do likewise. I shall miss her wisdom, joy, and friendship.

Erica, Gretchen, John, Tom, Kathleen, Monica and families, We were deeply saddened to learn about Angela's recent death. She had an appetite for life, literature and people like no other. She mentored me when I first began writing and had a way of making you feel so good about yourself. Our family loved getting together with the Dorenkamps for family potlucks. I will hold you in the light and keep you in my prayers. Love, Mickie for the Hartnett family

Angela was my dear friend and neighbor when living in Urbana, IL in the late 50's. Her family and friends have my deepest sympathy.

Angela brought out the best in all of us. What a wonderful role model she was. She challenged us to better ourselves. She was an excellent teacher and an even better friend. I will miss you.

Angela,

It was such a pleasure to have met you! You were a ray of sunshine everyday! All my love,
Rebecca

Angela was my mentor when I was an adjunct in English at Assumption in the 70's and I started the Writing Center at Nichols College because of her influence. For 11 years we read women's poetry to a myriad organizations together. She had a major impact on my life and I will miss her.

Angela, we'll miss you. I'm thankful to have worked with you 1982-1986 while I edited the Assumption College Quarterly. You were an inspiration.
Rest in peace. --Matthew J. Beach

We're very sorry to hear about the passing of Angela Dorenkamp; she touched the lives of many, and will be greatly missed.

Dr. Dorenkamp was a gem. So fortunate to have taken graduate courses with her at Assumption. She taught me so much about writing, which I then passed along to my own students and subsequently used in my own writing career. Always so open and willing to explore ideas. So generous with her wisdom and unassuming in her approach. A wonderful teacher. A lovely woman.
