Angela Jenkins Obituary
She was a native of Baltimore, Maryland, a member of Gilead Baptist Church and a retired library tech at Elizabethtown Community and Technical Colleg. She was a Kentucky Colonel, a Master Gardner with the Extension Service and was a Lincoln Trail Master Gardner. She was also an author.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Warner Garrison Smith and Wanda Blancett Smith; and a son, Hugh Allen Jenkins.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William Allen "Buddy" Jenkins; a daughter, Shelly Denise (Michael) Loyall of Taylorsville; a sister, Arla June Bray of Louisville; and two grandchildren, Steven Loyall and Kevin Loyall.
The funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Sam Hinkson officiating. Burial will be in Gilead Baptist Cemetery in Glendale.
Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may go to the food pantry at Gilead Baptist Church.

Buddy and Shelley, I am so very saddened by Angela's passing. She was one of God's Angels and she touched many lives with her kindness and loving heart. She will be missed by many so many people. Sending thought and prayers in this difficult time.
