Angela LaCava

Angela T. "Lil" LaCava, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of the late Pasquale "Ozzie" LaCava, passed away peacefully on Friday June 5, 2015 at home. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Bomino) Tapogna who emigrated to the U.S. from Bari, Italy. Lil was employed by the State of Connecticut for over 20 years. In her earlier years she was a parishioner of St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church in Hartford, where she served as president of the Women's Club. Lil's greatest joy in life was her 62 year marriage to her beloved Ozzie, who died in October 2012. She was a devoted wife, sister, aunt and godmother. She will always be remembered for her generous hospitality, her delicious desserts and her caring manner. A woman of strong faith, Lil was a long-time parishioner of the Church of the Incarnation Roman Catholic Church and a member of their Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ozzie, brothers Anthony, Paul, Richard, Louis and sister Ida. She is survived by her sister, Helen LaCava of Wethersfield along with many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and close friends. The funeral will be Tuesday, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield, everyone is asked to go directly to Church. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Rocky Hill. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice .
