LAPOLLA, Angela Maxine, formerly of New Canaan, Conn., died Sunday, September 2, 2012 in Richmond, Va. She was 88 years old. Mrs. Lapolla was born on June 18, 1924 in Lebanon Junction, Ky., to Mary and John Callahan. She spent her childhood in Louisville, Ky., and attended Nazareth College for a career in Nursing. In 1947 she moved to New Canaan, Conn., and spent 27 years with the Visiting Nurse Association. She also served as the nurse at both South School and Saxe Junior High School. She retired in 1989 and moved to Richmond, Va., to be with her children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Joseph Lapolla Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory four daughters, Linda Lapolla, Lisa Amsler, Sally Tarzia and Sarah Wells; three sons-in-law, Chris Tarzia, Mike Amsler and Dan Pucket; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, all of Richmond, Va. A family service is planned in New Canaan, Conn., for Saturday, October 6. Arrangements are being made by The Franklin Hoyt Funeral Home in New Canaan, Conn.
