I remember the time my father (Piero Scala) hand picked mushroom in the wild and delivered them to Luigi and Angela to their home because he knew Luigi was so sick and could not go himself. To The Mendillo Family, I am so very sorry to read of Angelina's passing. She was a great friend to my parents who really loved her. My whole family did. MY parents always looked forward to a visit from her and Luigi. She was a terrific lady and oh so friendly. I don't have enough kind words to say what she meant to The Sacchetti Family. We are all saddened of Angeline's passing. A woman so kind and loved all who entered her home in Hamden. We all have many memories on Second Street. A place with a smell of italian cooking like no other. We shared many chats up to this year. She was a smart woman and gave good advice. A generation gone but never forgotten.
