Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC - Pen Argyl Obituary

Angela M. (Caporaso) Pratt, 79, of Wind Gap, passed away, Sunday, December 14, 2025, peacefully and surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter in Pottstown.

Born in Pen Argyl, February 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late James D. and Mildred (Liberto) Caporaso.

Angela was a 1964 graduate of Pius X High School and received her Associates Degree in Nursing and Education from Northampton Community College.

Prior to retiring, Angela was employed as a nurse for 30 plus years, most of them at Gracedale, Northampton County Home. She was also a certified massage therapist and yoga instructor.

She was a member of LEPOCO, the Red Hat Society and the Slate Belt YMCA, where she was also an instructor.

Angela had many interests that she enjoyed and shared.  She was a voracious reader with a love of philosophy and poetry.  She had a broad appreciation of art and music from classical piano to anything with a rhythm she could dance to.  She lived an active life and enjoyed yoga, walking, riding her bike, and taking car rides especially through the mountains.  She was a lifelong advocate of human rights and an animal lover to the core.

Angela found her greatest joy first and foremost in any time spent with family.  Whether sharing a meal, playing games, watching movies, talking on the phone, or simply being together, time was a gift of which she gave freely.  She loved and was loved deeply, and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by a daughter, Christine A. Caporaso Mondello of Pottstown, a son, Jonah Pratt and his wife Chelsea of Lyndonville, VT,  grandsons Martin J. Mondello and Harrison M. Mondello and his fiancee Julianna Giordani, bonus granddaughter Madelaine E. Golden, a brother, James Caporaso of Denver, CO, a brother-in-law, Mark Goldman of Watchung, NJ, and four nieces and nephews, Eric J. Goldman, Jacqueline Goldman Cocchiere, Jeanice Caporaso and Jody Caporaso as well as several great-nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by a sister, Concetta (Caporaso) Goldman.

Memorial Services will be held, Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11 AM, at the Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC,  126 E. Pennsylvania Avenue, Pen Argyl.  There will be visiting hours, Friday, January 9, 2026, beginning at 6 PM until 8 PM and Saturday beginning at 10 AM until time of services at the funeral home.  Interment will be private at St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Pen Argyl.

Not sure what to say?

Chrissy your mom is gonna be missed deeply i remember all the visit we spent and all the good times we had i wish we all get together sometime and just reminis about the good times tell Johan my thoughts and prayers for the whole family

Dear Chrissy and family,
How I loved my cousin Angela. She was always fun to be around, plus she had the world's best laugh, which I can sometimes hear in my head, and will certainly miss. Being just a few years younger, in my then teenage eyes, she was the coolest thing around. Her love for dance certainly rubbed off on me, and Angela teaching me the Cha-cha has to be my absolute favorite memory.
She also loved my brother Patrick (may he rest in peace), as they were slightly...

Dear Christine, Jonah, and Families.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your Mom. She was such a sweet woman whom I usually saw at the hairdresser. She was so warm hearted and kind as we chatted about our kids being classmates and recalling memories. May she rest in peace. Our love and prayers.

So sorry for your loss.

Christine know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time. I will never forget the wonderful in-depth conversations we had on our walks to Pen Argyl Park, while enjoying delicious pasties from the local bakery.

Ang was my lifelong friend. I will always treasure my memories and times spent together, I will miss and never forget her. My sympathy to all of you. Regina

Ang was definitely one of a kind and can never be replaced. Rest in peace my dear friend and thank you for the memories. You will not be forgotten.

Christine, Jonah and family, I am saddened to hear about your mom´s passing. I did her hair for years at Hair Scene along with you Christine. She had a beautiful soul. I´ll never forget the first time she called me after an appointment. She just wanted to tell me how happy she was with her hair. She said people only call to complain, but she wanted to call with a thank you. I never forgot that. Then when our famous duck, Wally, died.....she set up a memorial on our wall where Wally greeted...

I had the pleasure of working with Angela years ago. She was a compassionate caregiver and her word was always dependable . I am so sorry for your loss. Angela´s kindness and caring nature will always be remembered. RIP Angela
