Lake Cumberland Funeral Home - Somerset Obituary

Angela Ridner, age 41, of Somerset, KY, passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Hospice of Lake Cumberland Jean Waddle Care Center.


Angela was born on October 1, 1983 in Somerset, KY to Debbie Godsey and the late Dale Ridner.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.


She is survived by her mother, Debbie Godsey of Somerset; one daughter, Destiny (Jordan) Taylor of Russellville; two sons, Isaiah Godsey of Somerset and Skyler Godsey of Somerset; daughter-in-law, Bianca Shelton of Somerset; the father of her children, Kevin Godsey of Somerset; four brothers, Jonathon (Ashely) Ridner, Adam Dale Beckerich, Timothy Ridner and Mitchell Wesley; one sister, Jessica Molen; eight grandchildren, Adalynn Godsey, Mason Fyffe, Nathaniel Fyffe, Jeremiah Chapman, Zayden Godsey, Ryleigh Taylor, Serenity Taylor and Damien Taylor; and other family members and friends.


Angela was preceded in death by her father, Dale Ridner; and son, Michael Godsey.


Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 from 2:00pm until 3:00pm at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.


A Graveside service will follow on Tuesday at 3:30pm at Beech Grove Cemetery with Bro. Gary Clark officiating.


In lieu of flowers, the family wishes any donations be made to the Angela Ridner Memorial Fund to help with funeral expenses.

I that Angela when I knew him down here from Ohio without a year ago in Friends definitely we always had a lot of fun together. She was there to help me through my son's death my mother is and my granddaughters all what's happened within 6 weeks she was always there for everyone she's going to be so missed so much we all love you Angela you were one of a kind honey







Sure gonna miss you my friend I will remember all the good times we had... till we meet again RIP
