Not sure what to say?

On behalf of the Western Zone of the New York State Retired Teachers' Association (NYSRTA) I extend our prayers and sympathy. In Angela's memory, a donation will be made to the NYSRTA Robert DeCormier Fund, which assists retired educators in need. May she rest in peace!

I will never forget Miss Vaccaro as our school librarian,at Sheridan Parkside Elementary.

She always read to us with such drama and perhaps is responsible for my love of reading. Every so often i will be reminded of her when walking through a mall and the familiar fragrance that she wore would breeze past. "Youth Dew" by Este Lauder. What a wonderful person she was thank goodness she was in the profession of teaching.

I remember Miss Vaccaro as my 5th grade teacher at Alexander Hamilton School in Tonawanda. I have thought about her alot over the years. I recall her dark hair and big brown eyes. We lost our art teacher that year to the Vietnam war and Miss Vaccaro had each of us write letters to soldiers every week. She also read a book to us that year " The Year of the Raccoon" which touched me deeply. Years later I got a copy and read it to my own children. I share with you the celebration of her life.

I remember Miss Vaccaro as my reading teacher at Cleveland Hill Elementary school; those were the days when we would leave our regular classroom and be divided into reading groups, "blue birds, red birds, etc. and my memory of Miss Vaccaro was a lady with dark hair and a love of books; this is a long ago memory since I am 62. My deepest condolences to all of her family and friends.
