WEATHERHEAD YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 885 MANTOLOKING ROAD, BRICK, NJ


Angelina Jean Mazzarisi (nee Verlingo) 97 of Toms River, NJ,  formerly of New Providence, NJ passed away Friday, October 16, 2020 at Ocean County Medical Center in Brick, NJ. The funeral will be held at Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road, Brick, NJ on Monday, October 19th at 4-9:00 p.m.   Funeral mass at the Church of the Visitation, 730 Lynnwood Avenue, Brick Township, NJ, will be held Tuesday, October 20th at 11 a.m. and she will be laid to rest at St. Vincent Martyr Cemetery, Madison, NJ.  Angelina was born in Jersey City, NJ and lived in New Providence, NJ since 1958.   She attended Fashion Institute of Technology in New York for Design, was a Supervisor for Engelhard Industry in Newark, NJ, and worked at Continental Insurance in Livingston, NJ for many years, retiring in 1980.   She also held a position as a Crossing Guard and was a Councilwoman in her beloved town of New Providence, NJ.  She was a creative lady, enjoying singing for the Senior Citizens and hand painting beautiful pictures on eggs for her family and friends.  She also had an opportunity to sing during World War II to entertain the soldiers going overseas.  Angelina is predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Orlando Peter Mazzarisi. Angelina  is survived by her loving children Rita Polverino and her husband Dr. Frank Polverino,  Dr. Michael Mazzarisi and his wife Sherry Mazzarisi and Ernest Mazzarisi and his wife Christine Mazzarisi and her loving grandchildren David, Jeffrey, Alexandra and Matthew and her great grandchildren Cayden and Jayce.   She is also survived by her sister Marion Dellanno and sister-in-law Madeline Verlingo.  Predeceased by her brother Fred Verlingo.
