Angeline "Kiki" (Prinos) Stefos, 86, died Thursday, August 6, 2009, in Beaumont Nursing Center, Northborough, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease.
She is survived by her son, Ted Stefos, and his wife, Beth, of Lancaster; two grandchildren: John and Kathryn Stefos of Lancaster; a brother, George Prinos of Bolton; a sister-in-law, Mary Prinos of Clearwater, FL; and many nieces and nephews. Two brothers: Peter and Nicholas Prinos, and a sister, Vanthia Gianakis, predeceased her.
Kiki was born in Clinton, the daughter of Chrisanthos and Constantina (Kolotouros) Prinos, and lived in Greece for several years, before moving back to the United States over 60 years ago. She taught at St. Basil's Academy and worked for many years at the former Colonial Press and Ray-O-Vac companies of Clinton, before retiring from Digital Equipment Corporation.
She was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, and its Ladies Philoptochos Society, and the Daughters of Penelope. A deep lover of life, Kiki especially enjoyed time spent in the company of her grandchildren, family, and friends.
Kiki's funeral will be held on Monday, August 10, 2009 from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., with a service at 11:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 132 School St. Burial will follow in Reservoir Pines Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, August 9, 2009, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Kiki to the Alzheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., FL, 17, Chicago, IL 60601, or to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 132 School St., Clinton, MA 01510.
