Not sure what to say?

Angie was always a joy to be around. Had amazing stories and was very down to earth and unpretentious. I still think of him often with great fondness

To the Coia Family: My family and I are sorry for your loss. I met Mr. Coia back in 1974 while playing for Liberty Bell football in Northeast Philadelphia. He was a very humble man who could have boasted so much about himself, but he didn't. He had many children, us, who he poured his life into and raised us up to be respectable men in our society. He along with Mr. Bill Morgan taught us great skills in football. I was happy to be a part of the winning teams from 1974-1976 and tail back...

I was so sorry to only now hearing of Angie's passing. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed working with him but more importantly having him as a friend. I will miss and always remember his joy of life. He took great pride in his work but he never let it get in the way of having fun and a good laugh. We shared a great love of movies and will miss talking about the old gangster movies we both loved. His personal stories of his life were always a joy to listen to. I so enjoyed...

Rest in Peace Coach Coia.

RIP Coach Coia, Liberty Bell, Philadelphia and football will never forget you! A great coach and a better man! Lou Ferrante, LBYO 1979 120 pound champions.

I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS
MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU

I'm so sorry for the loss of your prince:( I've been praying for you Connie and your family. Love you, Ginny Ortiz

Sorry to hear of Angelo's passing. He was one of my heroes.
I remember the 1955 game between South Philly H.S. and Northeast at 12th & Bigler. I was on Southern's J.V.
team and I watched Adderley and Coia romp all over us.
I wish I had known that Angelo lived so close to me all these years. I would have loved to have visited him.

My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Coia family. I grew up with Angelo and played sandlot baseball with him for Dorian AC. We were very close friends back then. He was an amazing athlete! Later on back in1976 we coached against each other for the Championship. Angelo's Liberty Bell teams were the best. A tribute to him. My prayers are with you!
