To the Morrone family, It was approx. 54 yrs. ago, I met Vero at Pawcatuck Junior High School. What a blessing, a gift and a lifetime of knowledge occured with this meeting/lifelong friendship. Vero was not only my homeroom & Biology teacher, he was my freshman and varsity football coach. He had a way to take the toughest & wildest kids and connect with us in a way that was the "total opposite" of Lee Ermey in "Full Metal Jacket". To a beautiful family, There are folks in the community that are staples for us all. Both your Mom and Dad were that for all of us. Their arms reached far beyond their immediate families. They embraced the community. Your Dad worked countless hours to be able give you all a foothold. He embraced hard work and gave us all an example of sacrifice for the ones he loved.
