Not sure what to say?

Hi, I have an offbeat message that I think Angelo would appreciate and hopefully nobody finds offensive. I have Mike Tyson's 1st RING magazine from 1986. It has Angelo Prospero Jr's subscription label on it from Rochester NY. I'm going to a Tyson autograph signing Jan 26th and will have him sign this magazine. Normally I would peel the subscription label off, but since the last name is somewhat well known, I googled it and discovered Angelo Prospero was very well known in the NY boxing world....

It is hard to believe that nearly two years have passed since Mr. Prospero´s passing. I still think of him often and truly miss hearing from him and his updates regarding his love for his family and pets over these last decades that stayed in touch. His passing has left a void in my life.

You never forget a professor who put his heart and soul to teaching others. He is one of the professors that I will never forget. Amazing man with such deep love for history and for having a passion for his students to really learn just an absolutely incredible Person. You will be missed and I hope you knew what an incredible impact you have had on so many others! May you rest in eternal peace

I was sorry to just hear this weekend from a boxing judge at an event in upstate New York of Professor Prospero´s passing two years ago this month. Angelo was such a gentleman, a keen intellect, a great writer, a brilliant historian, and a man who was willing to give his time to others in mentorship and friendship. He help me matriculate in the sport of boxing with wisdom and encouragement. My only regret is that he was obviously too humble to write his own obituary as only an historian...

This makes me sad....Mr. Prospero was one of my most favorite teachers in high school back on the 90s. He was an amazing man and I´ll always have great memories of him.

Go with God Ange!

As a member of Ring 44, IBRO & the Rochester Boxing Hall of Fame I was sorry to hear of Angelo's passing. It's hard to imagine the boxing historical community without him, RIP.

The Rochester Boxing Hall of Fame still benefits from Angelo's great work and he will be missed

On behalf of myself and my family, we extend our deepest condolences to the Prospero family. Angelo was a tremendous human being. He was a fantastic teacher and writer. God bless him and may he rest in peace. Steve Jones
