Angelo Verdone, Jr., 51, of Aynor, SC., formerly of Jeannette, passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 11, 1970, in Greensburg, a son of Angelo and Kathleen Danton Verdone of Jeannette. Angelo attended Gannon University and St. Vincent College. He also attended Westmoreland Co. Community College furthering his education in Liberal Arts, Political Science, Travel and Tourism, and Hotel/Motel Management. He was an Assistant General Manager with Avista Resorts in Myrtle Beach, SC.
Angelo was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and son-in-law. He always had a big smile no matter where he was. Angelo also was a huge fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins.
In addition to his parents Angelo is survived by his loving wife of sixteen years, Cherilyn Matthews Verdone; his children, Katrina Verdone of Trafford PA., and Kasey Verdone of St. Petersburg FL.; a sister Amy Marker and husband Dale, of Acme PA.; nieces Amanda and Alexis Marker; his mother-in-law Barbara Matthews of Aynor SC.; a brother-in-law Brandon Robertson, of Myrtle Beach SC.; and his two furry pets Chloe and Bella.
A funeral mass will take place 10:00am Friday, October 1, 2021, in the Ascension Church, 615, Division St. Jeannette, with Fr. Job Foote as celebrant. Everyone is asked to please go directly to the church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hempfield Twp. The John V.
