Not sure what to say?

Whatever Angie did, she did well, with a twinkle in her eye and an impish smile. She changed the lives of so many human beings, including me. Angie lives on in my heart.

John, we were greatly saddened to learn of your loss. Although we're separated by time and distance, we've always had the thought that we could stop by and say hello when we're in San Diego. We'll keep you in our prayers.

I will miss Angie's smile, laughter and jokes and much more. She was a great lady. Dona Buth (Lemon Grove)

Grandma Huffman,I met you on my beautiful daughters wedding day.You sure made me feel so special that wonderful day. How you was so worried about me being taken care of. Thank you for caring about me and loving my darling daughter Andrea.I will remember you always. My heart goes out to your family.

Mrs. Huffman was not only one of my favorite teachers at GHHS, but she was also the Grandmother to my nephew, Bob. So I got to see not only what a wonderful teacher she was but also what a warm and caring person she was when it came to her family and friends. Bob flew down as soon as he heard about his Grandmother and stayed with us. Every night he would come home from the hospital with the latest update and he would talk about her. It was so obvious what a caring wife, mother and...

Saturday Morning Breakfast

On Friday, October 15th Angie Huffman passed away. John lost is life-long partner and we a lost a great friend and an inspiration to all of us. Since John joined the post, Angie was always at his side. She never came empty handed…salads or desserts for our meetings and an engaging smile and beautiful voice to entertain us at our post breakfasts. Angie’s energy never seemed to wane and the world will be quieter and more empty without her.

My first teaching assignment was at GH in '67- Angie was there immediately to help in my first Eng class and taught me more than I had ever learned before. More importantly- she was a deeply caring friend whose laughter and compassion was second to none. We had so much fun as a GH family as well--her ability to reach kids was natural and heartfelt--What a legacy, what a heart, what a friend, what a lady--she will be missed- Hearts go out to you John (the most loving husband possible) and to...

I remember Mrs. Huffman subbing for choir. Such a sweet and funny lady. Always put a smile on my face. GHHS class of '99.

Tribute to Angie

We call ourselves the Cookies, which is a story in itself, and we have been gathering the first Sunday of December for twenty-nine years. We eat, drink wine, report on the year’s life events, reminisce, and sing Christmas carols. Angie was our piano player, our joke teller, our friend, our tribal elder, and most assuredly our mother divine. We were at one time nine, then eight when we lost Gloria, and now we are seven. Bobbi lives in Florida, Pat has moved to...
