Not sure what to say?

I was very shocked and very saddened to learn about Al. He was a ray of sunshine on the usual mundane Thursdays at FIDM when he'd come to inspect our offices. Over many years we had humorous chats about his Scottish past, our families, Fresh & Easy, and our holidays. Al, you're terribly missed by us all. You were kind, funny, and patient. May you rest in peace.

May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face;
the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.
Farewell Mate - ye'll be missed....
Cha bhithidh a leithid ami riamh.

Al Johnston was the hardworking patriarch of a truly warm and wonderful family and his presence will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cathy, Carol, Dianne and Scott during this difficult time. Al Johnston was justly proud of each of you for the amazing person you have become.

Johnston Family-- you are the best people we know and we are so proud to call you our friends. May God bless you and help you through this difficult time.

Cathy and family, we were so shocked and saddened to learn of Al's death. We shall miss this fine man very much.

Someone once said that behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes.

I do not know if Mr. Johnston was a great man, but no one ever rolled their eyes at him. He was a very good man, a decent man, a fair man, who through the sweat of his brow and his Scottish smarts worked long and hard each day to do his very best to provide for his wife and children. I've been privileged to know the Johnston family for more than thirty-six years and always admired him and his wife, Cathy,...

Condolences to Al's family from the Baaden clan on Toluca. We'll miss hearing your brogue.
