I'm so sorry to hear of Gus' passing. I fondly remember my first year of teaching at North Delta as a wet behind the ears rookie when we carpooled together along with Bill Havdale. Gus kindly gave me good advice about how to survive in the teaching profession - in particular in the Delta school district.

Luckily for me, Gus was also the counsellor for my riotous grade 8 home room class that I also had to teach for an entire year in Science 8 and Math 8. My little darlings...
