Last night Anita's family gathered around our dining room table to share a meal. Those that couldn't make it out to the east coast were with us in spirit. Rather than being a sad event it was one of joy and good memories. We raised a glass to Anita noting that she was the one who taught us to gather around the table and linger around for hours – rejoicing in the fact that we are family – sharing stories, concerns and celebrations as well as silly jokes or interesting tidbits.
