Anita Lamae Colgan

I may not have known this wonderful woman personally, but reading that she grew up in Waycross GA, I may have run across her when I was a young child and lived with my Grandmother there for a few months when I first moved to GA, and on frequent visits over the years. Chances are that our paths crossed while I lived in Ft Walton Beach until 2006. Women like Mrs Colgan, served America proudly with their homefront war efforts, and she was a great lady who will be missed by many.

Dear Bill, Sandy & family. Please know that you are all in my prayers. Nita was always such a warm, gracious, caring person. I know that my mother (her cousin) & father, Sue & Jack Stripling, loved her dearly, as did my grandparents (her aunt & uncle) Ted & Bill Yarbrough & my Uncle Billy (her cousin). I have such fond memories of spending time with all of you on our family trips to Waycross & Fernandina Beach. Wish I could be with you at the service tomorrow. Bunnie will be there to...
