Anita Herzfeld

Anita was director of the KU Office of Study Abroad in Lippincott Hall when I was chosen as an exchange student to Stirling University in Scotland in the spring semester of 1980. She was always very supportive of me and warm personally toward me; she was a friend and mentor, and I remain grateful for her many kindnesses. She was a big reason why I was able to study abroad, which changed my life in so many ways. I remember her fondly. May she rest in peace.

Anita was the loveliest, most cosmopolitan person I have ever had the honor of knowing.
