I met Anita and Vitauts through the Dallas-Riga Sister city project in approximately 1990. They were active with the Dal-Riga Society and in the exchange programs with Riga. Anita's determination and persistence in dealing with her health issues always impressed me. Her kindness and intellect impressed me even more. It is a great loss to this special community that we will no longer have the joy of her company. My most sincere sympathy and condolences to all of the family, Tom Melton
