Funeral for Anita Kay Prater Lacy, 50, of Danville will be today, December 18, 2012, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Steve Stutts officiating. Burial will be in Alexander-Welborn Cemetery in Lawrence County. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Lacy, who died Sunday, December 16, 2012, at her residence, was born May 25, 1962, in Lawrence County to Charlie Wayne Prater and Dorothy Mae Melson Prater. Mrs. Lacy was a registered nurse for Decatur Morgan-Parkway Medical Center. She was preceded in death by one brother, Timothy Wayne Prater.

Survivors include her husband, Lynn Lacy; two daughters, Ashley Lacy of Madison and Amanda Lacy Moore (Jimmy) of Vinemont; parents, Charlie Prater and Dorothy Prater of Danville; one brother, Jamie Charles Prater (Jill) of Trinity; one sister, Sarena Prater White (Johnny) of Danville; grandchild, Aubrey Moore; and grandmother, Verbie Melson of Moulton.

Pallbearers will be Jamie Prater, James Lacy, Drew Prater, Johnny Lacy, Troy

Franks and Johnny White.

Anita you will be missed greatly. I loved working with you at PMC. You were a GREAT nurse! Always so helpful and caring. May God take you in his arms and rejoice, and may he bless your dear family at this time with comfort and peace. I know I will see you again one day.

So sorry for your loss, May GOD comfort all of you. Ms.Anita was a wonderful lady, So kind & caring. She was 1 of the best nurses that I had ever met. We worked together @ LMC & She treated everyone so kind & respectful.. GOD received a wonderful Angel.. RIP
