Not sure what to say?

Dear Gene,
We are so sorry to hear the sad news about Anita. Our daughter, Margaret, who lives in Seattle heard the news and immediately called us in Victoria, BC. My letter to you, dated Dec 8th, has just been returned:-( Please let us know where you are now. [email protected]

We have so many wonderful memories going back to Yester Terrace and Medical School. We always look forward to your family pictures at Xmas and know you will find comfort from having a wonderful big family....

To Gene and the Lagerberg family,

We were saddened to learn of Anita's passing. We met Gene and Anita in the late 1980's when we moved to Seattle and became active volunteers with Seattle Audubon. We later learned how vital they both were to that organization in their various roles as volunteers and educators. Their commitment to birds and the environment has inspired us in many ways. We send our thoughts and prayers on gentle wings in the hopes you and your family may find...

To the Lagerberg family:
We were so saddened to hear of Anita's passing. Reading her obituary gave us a sense of the enormous contribution she made to the causes she was passionate about, especially education, and how devoted she was to her family.

Growing up I only had a vague sense of Anita's activities in the PTA and Audubon Society, but was probably more tuned into the close friendship she had with my Mom.

My last memory of Anita was when she attended my CD release...

When all that we are has gone, all that we have done remains, spreading like ripples on still water. Anita touched my mother's life, and through her touched mine. I hold Anita's memory, as do everyone she touched. At the end of my own life, if my ripples spread as far as Anita's, I would go out happy.

Anita was a great friend of my mother, Ellie, for as long as I can remember- about 50 years. Happy memories and warm wishes from the Guntheroth family.

Loved Her!

Let the sweet memories sustain and comfort you today and in the days to come.

I loved it when I could be with Anita at family parties because she always communicated at my level, no matter what my age was, and she was a part of my family since before I was born. Her husband was my father's first cousin. She and Gene had what I always considered a beautiful marriage and family. She was a smart, beautiful, lovely and giving human being, who will always be missed. Kay Erickson Greenwood
