I knew Anita to be a tenacious campaigner and a fierce advocate for the Greater Mohawk Valley. She was the hardest working candidate I ever saw. Her spirited penchant for taking on tough challenges should be bottled up and sent to Washington, just as we should have sent her to Washington 34 years ago.
My heart goes out to members of the Maxwell family. Your loss is our loss. Anita will be sorely missed.
