Anita Joanne Stubblebine

To my surprise today I found out that Nita passed away on Christmas Day. I am heartbroken. I realize I had not been in contact with her for a awhile...but had sent her Christmas cards but never heard back. I realize her health wasn't the best the last several years. For we had long conversations about our lymphadema issues. I felt so bad that she had so much trouble with it. We had so much fun together with Nita..Janie..and myself when she still lived in Bode. Anita was a dear childhood friend from living in Bode, a small town in Iowa, visiting her after the family moved to Colorado when we were both 16, seeing her many summers when she came back to Bode to visit her grandparents and relatives. We were always best buds, spending as much time as we could with the short moments we had growing up. As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends. I taught with Anita at Falcon Elementary. What a sweet and dedicated person she was. She didn't know a stranger. She was also a very dedicated and passionate teacher. Her real love was helping those students who struggled in reading as she knew that without the ability to read, they were not going to succeed. God bless her and her family. She will...
