William J. Burke & Sons / Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes Obituary

Saratoga Springs, NY - Anjelica Theresa Zingarino, age 30, passed away February 13, 2022 from complications due to lymphoma, a type of blood cancer.

A lifetime Steelers fan, Anjelica loved to watch football, especially with her grandfather “Poppi” (Andrew Balog). Many remember her quick, bright smile and kind, accepting ways. She loved all kinds of music, art, history and the great outdoors. She was an avid lover of all things beer, and eventually earned her degree in Craft Brewing from SUNY Schenectady. She worked at Common Roots Brewery in S. Glens Falls up until April 2021 when her treatment began at Memorial Sloan Kettering. We will always remember her as “sassy”, full of fun and a true friend to all.

Anjelica is survived by her parents Terri Balog (Susan Hayden) and Glenn Zingarino; her sisters, Liana Zingarino & Isabella Zingarino; her grandmother, Maureen Jones (Daniel Jones); her grandparents Michael & Sylvia Zingarino; her aunts & uncles Carmine Zingarino, Tami Richards (Mark Richards), & Andra Clapsaddle (James Clapsaddle); her niece Juniper Pierce; and cousins Ella Richards & Andrew Richards.

Relatives and friends may visit from 2-4pm or 6-8pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 or from 2-4pm or 6-8pm Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (518-584-5373).

APPROPRIATE FACE COVERINGS WILL BE REQUIRED.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am Thursday, February 24, 2022 at St. Clement’s Church, 231 Lake Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY.

APPROPRIATE FACE COVERINGS WILL BE REQUIRED.

Not sure what to say?

Always in our thoughts.

My sympathy to the family of Anjelica. I went to high school with her, and did not know that she passed on recently till now. She was always a kind and caring person. She is missed by her family and friends...All my love to Anjelica and her family, Michelle Smithley, Ballston Spa, NY.

Terri, Sue, Liana, Isabella, JC Thank you, I have been blessed to know you, however briefly. My deepest condolences remain with you all. Thank you for showing me how your family bravely faced this Cancer battle, stronger, together and fought so fiercely. In sharp contrast to my son's journey. His battle continues. Hopefully I can find the strength and will post weekly on FB Hope 4 Cancer THB. On my way to the late mass.

I did not know Anjelica personally but her story resonated with me as I have a daughter just around her age. I cannot imagine the pain and heartache you are all enduring. I truly believe that Anjelica was such a special soul and she is now gifting you all with the strength to get through this and to remember the happier days of her well, but short lived, life.

I am looking forwarding to raising a pint in heaven with your precious daughter.

Love,

A Mom
