West Springfield – Ann L. (Michaud) Atkinson, 91, died Friday at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.  Ann was born in Springfield and has lived in West Springfield most of her life.  She worked as a self-employed home care health worker with the elderly for many years.  Ann joins her husband Rolland Atkinson who died in 2007, her daughter Debora Demars who died in 2007 and also her beloved grandson Lucien Demars who died in 1996.  Ann leaves her children Barry Johnson and wife Barbara, Shauen Ryan, Tracey Hill, Linda Varney and husband Kenny, Brenda Atkinson, Lisa Hodges and husband Tom, Roland Atkinson and wife Laura, Lori Atkinson, Maryann Atkinson, and Chris.  She also leaves a brother Lucien Michaud, sixteen grandchildren and twenty-four great grandchildren.  A private funeral will be held at the West Springfield Curran-Jones Funeral Home followed by burial in the Massachusetts Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery.  For more details please visit curranjones.com.  Memorial contributions may be made to any Leukemia Foundation.
