Ann Mitchell Burdick

Three years ago I became one of Ann's caregivers in her home at Covenant Shores. We passed the time listening to opera music, walking through the rose garden and eating. Ann enjoyed food! And she was a good conversationalist. She introduced me to Willa Cather books, which I would read aloud to her. Once she corrected me when I said lay down when I should have said lie down. And of course, she was right. A pleasant lady who played a mean game of double solitaire!

As a young mother I was invited into this amazing group of older women who nurtured and encouraged me to be the best that I could be. Public speaking, singing, telling stories, giving programs and learning to cook. All PEO's are good cooks! Especially Ann.
We all loved it when Ann had us for lunch in her beautiful Blue Ridge Home. Always colorful primroses on the blue table cloth.
