Ann and I worked together for a few years, but only really connected when we retired. We shared an Irish sense of humor and take on life, so things clicked quickly. She was a very accomplished woman and had worn many hats in her life; she'd also had more than her share of hardship. But Ann had brought her dragons to heel, talked straight and shrugged off her pain. I will sorely miss my friend and her sass, intelligence and style.
