She was a lovely person, and I loved her beautiful smile. She and I worked together at Glenwood. She was a great mentor to me, and all her students. Rest sweet friend.

Soror Cato embodied sisterhood. She greeted you with a big beautiful smile and a charming "How are you?'. She had a giving spirit and was always willing to help. She loved her Oak Ridge Community and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. That love led to her being one of the founders of the Oak Ridge Alumna Chapter and our acquaintance. Not only was she a Soror, but a mentor as well. She never missed an opportunity to teach, usually by example. Sweet rest, my Dear Soror.

Ann was a great 4th grade teacher at the Scarboro School in the Oak Ridge Tennessee community. Her intellect and way to engage students in a predominately Black community inspired and encourage us to dream and make those dream realized. I would appreciate any artifacts of her times as a Scarboro teacher as we commemorate her and other teachers in the celebration of the 65th Anniversary of the Oak Ridge Schools desegregation.
