Patti, this is a late sympathy and memory message . I took lessons from your Mom from 1943 for Ten yrs . O r of my memory memories is she asked me to assist her on Valencia St. While she was pregnant with you ! I was so proud she asked me to assist her. My second memory is when she had your grandfather , Bill work with on the Hornpipe . Also she placed me in uncle Bill´s hands for awhile . Anne was my idol ! I remember starting dance with Ann Healy on 16th and Mission! So many years ago. Such lovely memories and she taught my daughter, Deirdre, on Taraval street. A sad loss for you all. Ann Healy was a great business woman, and great dance teacher, and a a wonderful cultural ambassador for the Irish in
San Francisco! I took dancing with Ann from 1963 to 1974. Great times! Not only was I able to become proficient in traditional Irish step dance, which was a wonderful way to carry on Irish culture in S.F., when it wasn't that popular in Ireland. But, it was so much fun!
