McNally & Watson Funeral & Cremation Service - Clinton Obituary

LANCASTER

Ann M. (Carbone) Cutler, 62, died Saturday, August 11, 2018, at home, surrounded by her loving family, following a long illness.

She is survived by her husband William, with whom she would have celebrated 35 years of marriage on August 20th; two daughters: Christen Francini and her husband, Peter, of Trumbull, CT, and Courtney Cutler, of Somerville; and two adored granddaughters, Annie and Eloise Francini; her mother, Louise (Birri) Carbone of Marlborough; a brother, John Carbone of Marlborough; two sisters: Jean Jones and her husband, Dave, of Hudson, and Christine Zydlewski and her husband, Doug, of Wakefield, RI; and several nieces and nephews.

Ann was born and raised in Marlborough, daughter of the late John A. “Al” Carbone. She was a graduate of Hudson Catholic High School, Class of 1973, and attended Fitchburg State College. She was a resident of Lancaster for nearly 32 years, and a member of Immaculate Conception Parish.

For many years, Ann worked as an administrative assistant in the medical office of Dr. Clifford Risk, Marlborough, retiring recently, due to illness.

A devout Catholic, her faith and her family were most important in her life. Ann loved the holidays, especially Christmas; planning parties, cooking, and baking. She enjoyed gardening, antiquing, and shopping, particularly when she was able to find a great bargain. Above all, Ann enjoyed time spent in the company of her family, and treasured every moment spent with Annie and Eloise.

Ann’s family wishes to express their profound gratitude to her oncology team, led by Dr. Michael Constantine at Dana Farber in Milford, and to the staff at Nashoba Nursing Service & Hospice for their compassionate care.

Ann’s funeral will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018, from the McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church Street, Clinton, with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 809 Main Street, Lancaster. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Marlborough. Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 15, from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Ann, to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284-9168.

Not sure what to say?

Annie, that smile ,that laugh, that twinkle in her eyes when she mentioned anyone or anything about her family. I truly was shocked and saddened when I got the news yesterday. Annie & I both share the same birthday month and we always made jokes about how organized we were and have all our plans in place. I did the annual NYC bus trip at Christmas and remember how much fun she had when she went. I will keep you all in my prayers.

So very sorry for the loss of Ann...She was a wonderful lady and always had that million dollar smile on her face!! She will be greatly missed and forever in our hearts...Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family always...

I am saddened beyond words to read about Anns passing. I met Ann when her daughter was a student in my 1st grade CCD class. Ann was so appreciate to me, as her quiet/shy daughter and I formed an amazing bond. Ann and I kept in touch for years later ( I even visited the family once or twice in their home when Id return home from college or run into them at church). Ann was an amazing person- mother, catholic, friend, etc. She was such a beautiful woman, inside and out. I remember every...

Mrs.Carbone and Family , Very sad to hear of Ann's passing. You could see that smile miles away. There was 6 of us freshman year at St.Ann's Academy. Ann, Carol,Nan, Denise, Ginny & Amy. It was a short 2 years(because of the school's closing) but we had fun. I don't ever remember Ann getting mad just that beautiful smile and her out going personality. We worked our magic and found ourselves in Boston City Hall plaza with the 1970 Stanley Cup, Boston Bruins! Ann, we took different paths but...
