I met Ann when we were in the same 3rd grade classroom. Our teacher was Mrs. Jones. Ann & Fay were in the class, & I was younger & shorter than they & wanted desperately to be like them! Still do! My friendship with Ann lasted a lifetime: I was 7, & now I´ve amazingly turned 80. Barry, her parents, Ma Lawson (who taught me how to ride a bike), brother Tom, & her beautiful daughters-lovely family & important to our lives. I continue to grieve & feel a tremendous loss. Ann and I maintained a friendship from the time we were 12 until now. The last time I talked to her, several months ago, we giggled like children. We would walk home from school together. On one of those days we carved our initials along with the initials of our true love, in a tree that was in her yard. Over the years the tree grew and the initials went higher. The last time we looked we could no longer see the initials but it still brought happy memories of two silly teenage girls. Ann...

I am not sure how young we were back then in grade school. Pretty little I think. Ann was short and I was taller. On the playground I used to swing her up and round and round till we were both dizzy. Kris said it was about the 4th grade. We laughed a lot then and still did when we got together as adults. We were a close group and she will be missed by us all.

From the time that Ann and I were in the fourth grade until now we were lifelong friends. We spent so many years together as children growing up and sharing each other´s lives. Ann was a Joy always to be around and I loved her dearly. For all the years since we first met in Fairhope our lives have been shared with each other. How fortunate we were to be lifetime friends.
