It's November and I was thinking about Ann and wondering how she was. Entered her name in search and sadly saw that the breast cancer marathon fight had ended. I am so sorry, David. We had some good years at the Utah State History Museum - the exhausting move into the D&RG RR depot - mover funds had run out and we had to move the collection in ourselves. Ann brought an inner light to every day at the museum, her spirit illuminated her interactions with fellow staff members and the public who came in search of information and help. Her calm demeanor and wit coupled with an unflagging sense of purpose and professional commitment to the importance of the museum´s collection and exhibitions was inspiring for me and formed the basis of our friendship over the course of the fourteen years that we worked together. Ann was the consummate professional, overseeing priceless works of art with deep knowledge and care. I was fortunate to work with Ann on a number of projects at the Portland Art Museum. She was a joy and a truly lovely person. She will be missed greatly by all those who knew and worked with her at the Museum.
