FARDON, Ann E. (Frankenberger) Formerly of Reading, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2020. She was 88 years of age. She was the devoted mother of Martha (Doug) Campbell of Cincinnati, Ohio, David (Deegan) Fardon of Center Valley, Pennsylvania, the late Lisa Fardon, and the late Tommy Fardon. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Megan Campbell and Lauren Campbell. She was the beloved daughter of the late George A. and H. Ursula (Shea) Frankenberger and was the sister of George Frankenberger, Jr. of Glastonbury, Connecticut, Mary Louise Remon of West Dennis, Massachusetts, the late Paul Frankenberger, the late John Frankenberger, and the late Martha Frankenberger. She was a dear cousin and aunt within her large and loving family and a cherished friend to many including her lifelong friend Bebe Cooper. Ann was born in Boston on October 14, 1932 and raised in Randolph. She was a graduate of St. Patrick's High School in Brockton, Class of 1950, and attended Simmons College in Boston before going to work in Employee Benefits at Mass Bonding and Insurance. Later in life she graduated from Middlesex Community College and worked in the Medical Records Department at the Lahey Clinic, retiring in 2002. She was a longtime resident of Reading. She was an active member of St. Athanasius Church, leading their efforts to feed the homeless at the Pine Street Inn for many years. Two years ago, she relocated to Cincinnati, Ohio to be closer to her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters. Ann was a strong woman who devoted several decades to raising her children as a single parent, two of whom had special needs. She was a passionate and involved advocate for the disabled throughout her life. Through her example, her children learned the value of dedication to family and the importance of hard work. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Ann's memory to help local families in need through the Mission of Deeds, 6 Chaplin Avenue, Reading, MA 01867. www.johnbdouglassfuneralhome.com or www.tuftsschildmeyer.com

Ann and my mother, Bebe , were more like sisters than friends. They have known each other over 60 years, and always maintained a close relationship. Both families consider themselves relatives. Ann was a strong, loving woman who gave so much of herself without asking for anything in return. She truly was a remarkable woman! We will always treasure our memories, and never forget Ann. Rest in peace!

A life well lived as evidenced in her daughter, Martha and her son, David. As her sister, Mary Louise I love and cherish dearly all our shared memories.
