I'm so sorry for your family's loss. Mrs. Foppes was my Kindergarten teacher in 1974. I will always remember her amazing smile and kindness.

She was a wonderful teacher for the foundation of my education. What a super lady.

Mrs. Foppes taught me in 3rd grade at Sauquoit. Although I can't remember the details about most of what I learned (except "potatoes and tomatoes, you add '-es;"), she stood out. I was fortunate to have her as my parents were divorcing - she was kind and understanding at a time when it seemed the world was against me. She was also the first to notice that I was struggling with some work and needed glasses (and I admit that I was not very happy with her on that one for a bit). She was a...
