Ann was my godmother, or my fairy witch mother as I called her after we discovered this character in a comic book. I had a wonderful summer between 8th grade and high school that I spent with her family in Kennebunkport. I enjoyed reading how many contributions Ann made to the literary world. What I will always remember about her was her sense of fun and her inquisitive mind. She welcomed any soul that crossed her Kennebunkport threshold with a warm heart. I'm so sad to think that her light-filled spirit is gone, yet I realize it will live on in her three sons, her daughter and her grandchildren. I will miss her. I send my condolences to those who were closest to this special person.
