Ann Kocher Franklin Our mom, Ann Kocher Franklin, was born on July 8, 1930 at Gorgas Hospital, Ancon, Canal Zone in Panama and went home to be with Jesus about a month shy of her 90th birthday. That she almost made 90 years is a miracle all its own. Twenty-eight years ago she was given a 1%...

Not sure what to say?

I worked in the office for Dr Franklin in the mid 70´s with Suzi Weekly. What a wonderful experience. Dr Franklin was a joy to work for. TheN met his beautiful wife Anne. They were certainly a loving, Christian couple. I remember Dr. Franklin playing his horn at my son´s baseball game at Divisadero School. Great memories!! I wish I had seen Anne´s obituary sooner, would have attended her service at Gateway. I loved these two people, they were very influential in my life.

We are so sorry for your loss. You amazing mother brought joy inside every room she entered. Her love for Jesus spilled over as she loved on others. Two of our children often recall their wonderful 2nd grade Sunday School teacher who inspired them to know Jesus better by reading His Word! We look forward to fellowship with both of your parents one day. Hugs to the entire family

Ann was the sweetest most loving person I ever had the privilege to know. She never met a stranger and her love of Jesus showed daily. She was the perfect example JOY
Jesus first
Others second
Yourself last
The recipe for true JOY and she freely gave it to everyone she meet. She is missed on Earth and celebrating in Heaven ❤

Truly a lovely woman and Jesus Christ was her best friend ❤ Ann and Omar were living examples of Christs love and devotion. The World and my life were definitely better because she was there

Ellen, Lori, and John, you 3 were 3,2,and 1 when I met your wonderful parents in the CZ as the young wife of an intern at the old Gorgas Hospital from mid-1964-mid-1965. They were our most helpful mentors for that year when they were up to their eyeballs in babies, and I have always remembered them and their many kindnesses to us both. I woke up thinking about them both and our intro to married life and Panama this Monday (6/16), and found your mothers obituary immediately using only her...

I can honestly say I LOVED you Mom and Dad. I attended and worked at First Baptist for many years. Your Mom and Dad loved on me and my girls often. Your Dad's laugh can still resonate in my ears. Thank you for sharing them with us. You were blessed to have them as parents, as I count myself blessed to have known them at all. Till we see them again...

Ann was a wonderful mentor, friend and Bible teacher. In one of her Bible studies for young moms she said "You never stop parenting: you even parent in your death" And so she did. I am so grateful for all the years she put into my daughters when they were privileged to attend her Sunday School classes. You had a wonderful Mom.

I loved both Omar and Ann. They were such great examples of what God wants from his children. Ann, my late wife (also long battle with cancer) and I got to know each other very well through cancer support groups. She was such an encourager; always positive and smiling with biblical teaching as her compass. She loved God and loved her church. She sang (and danced, joyously animated) in our choir until she just couldn't anymore. She left a wonderful legacy for so many young children. Now...

Thinking of all of you and the many years I spent with Ellen. Your mom did always have a smile on her face and your dad was a master joker. She touched many lives and hearts and I know you will gain strength from that knowledge. Please know that I am thinking of you as you lose another parent. Continue to support each other and take care of yourselves.
