Ann hired me right after I graduated from college in 1980. I worked at Meiklejohn Civil Liberties Institute as an assistant archivist and later as Ann's personal secretary for a few years. I transcribed many of the oral histories that came out of the conference she planned on the Impact of McCarthyism on various sectors of society.
