Not sure what to say?

Ann was easily one of best people I have ever known. She was one of a kind and I will miss her kindness, intelligence and wonderful sense of humor.

I really enjoyed getting to know your mother. I was honored to be one of her doctors. I always enjoyed talking to her about Dr. Hicks who I knew when I was a medical student and resident at UAB. She was a great lady!

Never met a sweeter woman or more dedicated wife. God rest her soul.

Comfort Planter

Warm and loving woman who, together with her husband, Julius Buddy Hicks, welcomed us to Mountain Brook and the UAB faculty of Medicine. Ann was tireless in providing guidance to Barbara and was a surrogate grandmother to Brian, Greg and Lauren. We truly cherish her memory and know that we were blessed to have received and shared her embrace and kindness during our many years together.

Ann Hicks was a role model as a mother and parent.
