ANN KAPLAN Obituary
ANN LEOPOLD KAPLAN (Age 50)
Of N. Bethesda, MD passed away peacefully on May 24, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. Devoted mother of Jeremy, Ilana and Daphne; beloved wife of Lawrence; loving daughter of Marx S. and Joan Y. Leopold (z'l) of Harrisburg, PA; sister of Matthew (Cathy), John (Teresa), David (Laura), Debbie (Jonathan); daughter-in-law of Stewart and Lynn (z'l) Kaplan of Tarpon Springs, FL, sister- in-law of Elisa Kaplan Siegel; aunt, cousin, friend and colleague. The funeral will be Sunday, May 26, 2013 at noon at Congregation Beth El in Bethesda. Interment at Judean Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to LUNGevity Foundation, The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington or the Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School. Arrangements by Hines-Rinaldi Funeral Home, Inc., under the Jewish Funeral Practices Committee of Greater Washington Contract.

We're so sorry to hear of Anne's death. She was at our wedding in 1991 and we loved her energy and good humor. Condolences to her family.

I am shocked and saddened that Ann is no longer with us. Over years of work with PhRMA as a client, I always loved to interact with her, to see her excellent work as a lawyer, and -- most of all -- to enjoy her delightful company and deep sincerity. Although we will miss her, I am sure her wonderful service with us help to propel her ever closer to God as she moves through the eternal realms in this next phase of her existence.

We are still in shock, and can't believe there won't be more opportunities to be with Ann. We know her mom is lovingly welcoming her. OUr thoughts are with Larry and the kids, and her huge, loving family and amazing community of friends and co-workers. Ann was definitely one of the best people I've ever known. Linda and Dan Snow

I was Ann's assistant while she worked at PhRMA. She was warm, engaging, strong, remarkable, funny and most of all a woman of service. It is almost impossible to think that she is gone, but let's rejoice in knowing she suffers no more. She will be missed but never forgotten.

We had the privilege of working with Ann first at EBG and later in her role at PhRMA - Ann was a brilliant and insightful attorney but most importantly she was a kind and thoughtful person. Our deepest condolences to the Kaplan and Leopold families.

I worked with Ann for several years at PhRMA. She was an excellent attorney as everyone knew. But more importantly, she was a fantastic person who clearly cared about others, especially her family.
