Read MoreI am so sad to hear of Ms. Latimer's passing. She was my 6th grade teacher and was so kind to me. I was such a shy child, even afraid to raise my hand when I missed something. Ms. Latimer recognized this and took special time with me. She helped me learn to love reading and made me feel worthwhile. I will never forget her. My love and sympathy to all her friends and family.

I know David talked to Ben earlier today. I want you to know how saddened we were to hear the news of Ann's passing. Saddened too that we will be unable to get to Atlanta. Aunt Ann was a wonderful lady and David loved her very much.

That guy worte the book about Tuesdays with Morrie- but I had Thursdays with Ann! What a delight to share time and wisdom with this kind and beautiful lady. Once we moved from duluth I might not see Ann for several weeks or more...I would visit with her or call and she would pick up right where we left off! I will miss my thursday friend. Alison Brewer
