SISTER ANN CATHERINE LEHMKUHL

I was a student at St. Anthonys grade school at Baileys Crossroads Virginia. I took my family to visit her in 2019. I am so thankful for her "tough love", many quotes which I still use to this day and her advice to turn my rebellious spirit to mimic Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego is not lost on me. I am glad my family and I got to see her again before she went to heaven. My daughter still talks about how much she meant to her as well.

I was Sr. Ann's secretary at St. Mary School in Big Rapids over 25 years ago. Sr. Ann was so kind to me and my family. After she moved away, she would stay in touch and come for a visit whenever she got back to Michigan. We would usually talk on the phone a couple of times a year. I will never forget how touched I was when my husband died in 2017, Sr. Ann who was 84 at the time drove all the way from Ohio up to Big Rapids for his funeral in the middle of the winter.
