Not sure what to say?

We had the wonderful privilege of getting to know George and Anne in Austin, Texas when George was on sabbatical and I was a postdoc. That was 30 years ago, and their caring, support, and friendship remain a treasured part of our lives. George was certainly a valued colleague, but they were so much more. As individuals and as a couple they were inspirational - at a time when we were just starting our family, George and Anne were the kind of people that we could look to as an example. In the...

I first met George and Ann in the 1970s when George and I edited research papers on divorce and separation. As our friendship blossomed, I discovered so many inspiring sides of this most unusual couple. I so admired their deep commitment and wide-ranging actions to help create a more peaceful and just world Working with George, I saw his keen mind, strong analytic skills, superb writing and passion for social justice. George and Ann truly let their lives speak to the highest values of...

Dear David and family
We were so saddened to hear of the loss of George and Ann. We used to hear regularly from George and Ann through their letters and their visits. We had a lovely meal with them and their grandson the last time they visited London. The extent of their social and charitable work was incredible and wish we could have talked more to them of their experiences. They led active lives to the full and were so adventurous. We are thinking of their family at this time. With love...

Ann and George were wonderful to us when we first came to the US in 1974. We developed a very special and rich friendship, had much fun and very good and rewarding conversations. Thank you! In loving memory, Aslaug and Arne Neset, Stavanger, Norway

Both George and Ann were incredible people, and both were a big source of encouragement for me. I never really knew all the things they had done, but I knew enough to know that they had helped a lot of people in important ways.

Had the pleasure of working with Ann at the Hospice Shop. George would gently steer her away from her purchases. They were devoted to each other and had a rich long life.

So beautiful and two of the most amazing people! I was blessed to know them through my parents (Trevor and Laura Robinson). - June (Robinson) Cassidy

Our son, John, spent some wonderful adventures with David, Ann and George. They took John and David hiking in the White Mountains, raised bees together and other educational activities. David always had the best Halloween costume (paper-mache pumpkin head one year) and outstanding birthday parties (squirt guns to douse candles, etc). I joined Ann and George once on New Year's Day on their hike in the Mt Holyoke Range. Their wonderful spirit will live on in all who were fortunate enough to...
