So sorry to hear of Ann's passing. In the more than 20 years that I knew her, she added to the quality of my life and I believe to many others.

Ann was my friend and mentor for over 40 years. She inspired me as much as she made me laugh. She was an artist with people, not just acrylic and paper. She brought out the best in others. She showed us simple treasures we might have overlooked. She spoke her beliefs and whether you agreed or not, you thought about things differently.
I will miss Ann very much but I will honor her memory every day.
My condolences to Ann's family. I hope that whenever you miss her, you will simply look around you and see her in the beauty of this world.

Sending thoughts and prayers during this difficult time, to the families of Ann Gauthier-Rappaport.
When my family moved to Covington, LA, in the early 1970s, Ms. Ann and the Gauthier family, were our next-door neighbors and family friends. My childhood is filled with so many wonderful memories of having fun, and growing up with (my "other brother and sisters") David, Julie, and Mimi. Throughout the years, I always referred to Ms. Ann, as Mama #2. Ann & Dr. Gauthier always treated me like family, and I will forever be grateful.
Growing up next door, the Gauthiers and their relatives and friends, became part of my extended family. My four brothers also remember Ann as part of their childhood, and a very caring neighbor - and also a good artist.
In the early days, I remember Ann was always painting in the cottage down at the river behind our houses, which she converted into an art studio. She had the music playing, while we played in the river. She seemed passionate in everything she did. Ann turned her hobby into a career. Although I write this with tears, her spirit and legacy will live on forever - in her great paintings and artwork!
Throughout the years, as we all grew up, I kept in touch with Ms. Ann to let her know that that I was always still thinking about her, and the family.
David, Julie, Mimi, Bob, and to all of Ann's family, you are in my thoughts for the loss and sadness you are feeling. I will always love you, and will never forget you, Ms. Ann Gauthier-Rappaport! Thank You for touching my life, and our hearts.
Love You forever,
Jack Brewster, and the Brewster Brothers
