I was a student at Mae Eanes Middle School from 1974-1977. Mrs.Russell was a very quite humble young lady. She would always call me Harris and I learned later that she called all of my sisters Harris (lol) My mom have six daughters we all knew Ms.Russell to be a strong and intelligent counselor. After working with Ms. Russell for two decades, I have so many fond memories of her. I was never reluctant to visit her office and seek advice. When I sent troubled students to Ms. Russell, whether they were heartbroken over something in their life or simply needed to talk, those students always returned to me with a better frame of mind. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her friends and family.
