Dear Scanlan family,
i felt led to read the obituaries last wednesday and i came across the entry about your sweet Ann. i was attracted to the beautiful picture and her warm smile. i never met Ann, but after reading the tribute to her life, i wished i had met her. i am so sorry for your great loss. i look forward to meeting her in heaven someday. your family is in my prayers and i am so delighted to see how strong a believer ann was and how incredible it must be for her to side by side...

To The Scanlan Family,

My heart goes out to all of you after hearing about Ann's passing. She was truly a wonderful person. "Genuine" is the word that comes to mind when I think back over our interactions throughout the years. She just always seemed to genuinely care and take interest in others. I will miss her, and keep all of you in my prayers.

Dear Scanlan family,
Ann was a very special person. I feel fortunate that our paths crossed over several years. Her wise counsel continues to help me yet today as I am a calmer, stronger person for having known her. We also had some great times together during a "girls only" weekends at the beautiful Holland house, made all the more beautiful by her presence. My deepest sympathies for your loss.

Ann made such a difference in our lives with great advice and guidance when we really needed it early in our marriage. We still talk about those life lessons with our friends who knew her and credit her with the happy lives we now enjoy. How wonderful for your family to have had her in your lives for longer than a few short years, but it will be so much harder to live without her now. May you be comforted by all the wonderful memories of a life well-lived.

Dear Bob, Jane, and all the family,

I am deeply saddened to learn about the loss of Ann. She was a source of love and inspiration throughout my childhood in Arlington Heights. Words fail me.

Ann is now enveloped in the fully abundant grace, love and joy of our Lord and Savior. May you also feel God's presence in your lives as you carry on through these difficult days.

Grace and peace,

Ann made such a difference in our lives, we have lost a friend. She was a treasure to all who knew her.
